GEAR LIST

• Food and water: fruit, muesli bars, sandwiches etc..  and a bottle of water.

• Sunhat /sunscreen/sunnies

• Togs and towel

• Clothes to paddle in: board shorts, thermal top and/or quick drying top (prefer students not to wear cotton in the boat)

• Rain jacket/ windbreaker

• Spare warm change of clothes: eg. fleece top, thermals

• water shoes (optional) or old shoes

• wetsuit if you have 1

• Extra bag for wet clothes

• Personal Medication (if applicable)

• PFD, Paddle and other Waka-Ama safety equipment is provided.  

Postponement day 3rd Dec.

Room 1 students will be visiting the oxbow at Paines Ford to undertake a water study and to examine the regenerating wetland plants. We will be biking to the oxbow from school via the new cycleway and Paines Ford track. This is a whole day adventure.

What you need:

• bike & helmet - these will need to be at school the day before (1st Dec) so the Shaun can complete a “BIKE WOF”.

• lunch and a big morning tea.

• drink bottle

• sunhat and suitable clothing/footwear

  Would be great to get some parent help for this.

Room 1 students are visiting Golden Kids to build some fun toys.

Can parents please supply milk bottle lids and 750ml “pump style” bottles - smaller OK too.

We will need some cars to transport to and from Golden Kids. Please let Shaun know ASAP if you are able to help with this

As always, pets include anything that your child looks after and loves, so soft toys can come as well.

If your child wishes to bring a large animal or a dog they must be accompanied by an adult (one per animal) who is prepared to stay with them the whole time they are on school grounds.

If your child wishes to bring a large animal eg horse or cow or something that has “unusual” requirements please let Kaye know ASAP!!

Please bring a cage for your cat, rabbit, guinea pig, hen, duck or other small creature. Make sure they have a good water supply and some food/treats as well. It’s also a great idea to have a place within the cage that the animal can hide for some quiet “ME” time.

And yes we will be doing the old standard Pet Fancy Dress.

Saturday the 14th November is the Golden Bay Boys and Girls Pet Show up at the showgrounds which CTS has always actively supported.

The day before, Friday 13th November, is “show prep day” at school. On “show prep day” our kids will be completing entries for some of these categories. We would really appreciate your helping hands at school on this day. It is fun and the kids really love making things for the show. Donations of flowers, greenery, jars with lids, saucers etc gratefully accepted!! Check with Kaye for more info.
